Q. Will Doctors Access run OK on a Windows 7 computer?
A. Yes, Doctors Access will run fine on Windows 7 if the User Account Controls (UAC) feature is turned off prior to initial installation and if the Windows 7 computer is properly configured on your peer network. Turn off UAC on all Windows 7 computers prior to installing Doctors Access. Consult a qualified Microsoft Technician to assist in turning off User Account Controls and configuring your new Windows 7 machine on your peer network.* Come into Live Support with a new Windows 7 computer properly configured on your network with UAC turned off and we will assist you in installing Doctors Access** for free. Re-configuring Windows 7 and reinstalling Doctors Access on improperly configured computers and networks is not covered in your support agreement. We can refer you to a qualified technician.
Q. Is it Ok to upgrade my existing computers to Windows 7?
A. Windows 7 Upgrades work best on newer more powerful computers. Older machines that are currently running Windows XP Professional (or before) were purchased well before Windows 7 was developed. You might experience poor performance from such upgrades or the computer might not work at all. Consult a qualified Microsoft Technician before upgrading any machine to Windows 7. Q. Is it Ok to have Windows 7 and Windows XP computers on the same Local Area Network?
A. Windows 7 and Windows XP can coexist as they are configured correctly. Upgrade printer and device drivers and configure network settings to insure proper operation. Consult a qualified Microsoft Technician to assist in device driver upgrades and network configuration tasks. Windows 7 network configuration tasks are not covered in your Doctors Access Support agreement.

A. No. Doctors Access does not support Vista.
* User credentials must be identical on all machines in a peer network to ensure connectivity of each user across the network.
